CLUE 2bMovie Theatertheater.png

For this part of my CLUE, I observed in a movie theater. When I first arrived, there was a large line of people waiting to get tickets, (the movie was The Lion King 3D). Instead of the line normally being at the ticket booth, it lead to the snack counter, were there was only one girl working. Apparently they were understaffed that day. There were many children with older siblings or parents bringing them to see the movie, but what I found most interesting is how many people were there that were my age. We had all grown up watching Disney movies, and we all just had to see this movie. Everyone was standing close to the group they came with, talking constantly, all waiting impatiently to get in the theater. Once in the theater I noticed how everyone sat away from each other. It was a moderately large theater, and wasn't entirely full, so every group had the ability to sit basically wherever they wanted. I even saw people leave just one seat to separate them from a stranger. I suppose this shows how uncomfortable people may be to be around someone they don't know. I know I sometimes feel awkward sitting so close in an auditorium or theater when I don't know the person next to me. The arm rest between those two strangers is usually never used too, another interesting observation I had. People were also constantly doing exactly what the theater advertisements tell them not to do, talk, text, and be disruptive. I suppose many people either just don't care to follow the rules, ignore them, or don't realize it's courteous behavior. It was really interesting to actually take notice to my environment in a place I never took notice to before.
